Grounded in the colors and earth tones of Nazareth, The Virgin Mary explores both the humanity and sacredness of Mary through a contemporary, emotionally vulnerable lens. Inspired by scripture, historical context, and Middle Eastern geography, the work reflects on Mary not as a distant icon, but as a young teenage girl entrusted with an unimaginable calling.
Commissioned for Lisa Price, a limited edition of signed prints will benefit the James “Jim” Gowarty Scholarship Fund.
