About
Dean Skinner is a multi-disciplinary creative force—an internationally exhibited artist and Amazon bestselling author. His large-format portrait paintings have been featured in galleries across the U.S. and U.K., and he has completed commissions for high-profile clients, including NFL athletes. Additionally, one of his artworks was prominently featured in the documentary The Sax Man, further cementing his place within the cultural and cinematic landscape.
Dean’s work has also sparked public conversation—his chalk drawings in Cleveland’s Playhouse Square District were deemed “too controversial” by the city and power-washed the same day. His public-facing work often explores faith, suffering, culture, and social tension through temporary installations and portraiture.
Recently, Dean was selected to be featured in the main field of New Christian Makers, a curated publication celebrating artists who create with excellence, purpose, and conviction. His work was chosen by a juried process led by Professor Gregory Deddo of Gordon College.
As an accomplished writer, Dean’s books have consistently ranked at the top of Amazon bestseller lists and his adapted screenplay earned a 97th percentile score (top 3%) from Greenlight Coverage, adding another layer of prestige to his artistic career and gratitude for the gifts God gave him.
